Simple Dhal

Ingredients:
Bengal gram dal- 1/2 cup (soaked in water for 2 hours)
Coconut oil - 1 tbsp for flavor.
Powders:
Salt(to taste), Chilli Powder(as you wish), Turmeric powder-1 tsp.
For tempering:
Mustard seeds, Urad dhal,Curry Leaves, corn oil
Vegetables :
Beans, Carrot, Potato(chopped in big pieces) – all together 1 and 1/4 cup. (you can even put any one of the vegetable)
Onion -1 medium size (finely chopped)
Tomato- 1 medium size (finely chopped)
Green chilli - 1 (can add more if you want spicy)
Method:
Pressure cook the soaked dhal and Veggies(beans,carrot, potato) with 1 tsp oil and turmeric powder till 3 whistles.(you can cook the dhal and veggies in same vessel, if 1/2 cup dhal add 1 cup water)
In a frying pan heat oil and temper mustard seeds(allow it to splutter), urad dhal, Curry leaves, then fry green chillis. then add finely chopped onion. After it turns brown add chopped tomato. After sauting add the pressure cooked dhal and veggies. Add the Chilli powder and salt. Finally add 1 tbsp coconut oil and cover cook for few minutes. When you smell the flavor remove it from stove.
Tip: Tastes better when cool than it is when hot.

Dhal taste good even cool is great as I considered it can only be had hot.

Yes the dhal will taste very good since the dhal and veggies will gather full flavor when left cool for sometime.
